Our 5am start from Cayman was just a preview of the early mornings and late nights that would become the norm for Trinidad Carnival 2009. The entire group going to Trinidad from Cayman to Trinidad is 50 strong overall, but some people have left days earlier on other flights, but our particular contingent, which we shall call the 345 Posse is about 30 strong. A 7am flight from Cayman put us on a Air Jamaica party charter which immediately started off with a bang. Five minutes after takeoff we are passing bottles of rum around and dancing in the aisles. The party doesn’t stop until minutes before we are ready to land. A fitting start to an amazing week.
